The apartment is located in the historic center, at Vicolo Chinzica n. 28.
The apartment is located in the center of Volterra, and the traffic-restricted zone is open from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Access to the restricted traffic zone may vary during certain periods of the year; please check the sign at the Porta San Francesco entrance.
When you arrive in front of the apartment you will find a safety deposit box containing the access key.
The procedure is very simple!
** THE CODE FOR THE SAFE IS: 0712 **
Check-in and check-out: Entering the apartment is easy. Just take the key from the safe.
Remember to put the key back in the safe when you check out!
PARKING
This property does not have private parking, but there are several paid parking lots in the area:
- The nearest parking is in front of Porta San Francesco. It is located at 150 meters from the apartment and can accommodate up to 10/20 cars. The cost is 12 euros per day.
- The other closest parking is the Gioconovo parking lot. It is located 200 meters away from the apartment and can accommodate up to 50/60 cars. The cost is 12 euros per day.
- Parking is free at night.
- tips: Tip: Using the EasyPark app and registering your car's license plate, you can make payments directly from your smartphone. If you run out of time, you can safely increase it using the app without having to modify the payment ticket, which must be displayed on the dashboard.
There is no free or paid parking on the street.

TV
The apartment has a streaming TV where you can watch all the free channels broadcast around the world. The output to access Amazon Fire TV is HDMI No. 1.
Once inside the Amazon app, you can access Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
If you need Netflix credentials, as guests sometimes choose to use their own accounts, disconnecting the one reserved for CasaVolterra. Please contact me so I can provide you with a valid account.
To watch TV you will have to launch the application called KODI with the symbol like in the image.
In the TV section you will find all the Italian channels.
To access international TV, go to Add-ons and select the icon in the photo.
Here you can search for TV by country.
One more thing: please don't touch the menu if you don't know what you're doing. This way, future guests can enjoy the service after you check out.

PLACES TO EAT
For eating there are some excellent typical restaurants, some at higher prices, others lower.
If you love cold cuts platters, red wine and special cheeses, but not only that, I recommend “Porgi l'Altra Pancia”. It's an excellent wine shop where you can choose your wine directly from the shelf and enjoy excellent cured meats and cheeses, some with a delicious truffle flavor! The prices are quite reasonable. The restaurant is located at the end of Via Matteotti.
If you prefer a more refined cuisine, with an intimate and classy atmosphere, but not overly formal, you can try Osteria ai Fornelli. Here you will find typical Tuscan dishes with some reinterpretations. It is located on the panoramic terrace near the apartment!
Just outside Volterra, there is the Trattoria da Badò, a much-loved place among locals, perfect for a special event or simply to enjoy typical local cuisine. It has become an institution in Volterra. Prices are average.
PLACES TO GET A DRINK
In Volterra, there are two or three pubs and bars where locals often gather, especially on weekends, to have a drink and spend time together.
A truly unique place is definitely the “Bar L'incontro” in Via Matteotti. It's a great pastry shop for breakfast in the morning and in the evening it transforms into a great place for a drink or a delicious aperitif.
There are two pubs: one is called “Qua Vadis Disco-Pub”, a small pub in the centre where they sometimes organise dance evenings. The other is the “Beer Academy” in Piazza XX Settembre, a good place for a quick meal accompanied by craft beers.
WASTE SORTING
In Volterra, waste collection is done door-to-door, so all you have to do is drop off your garbage bag. out the front door by 8:00.
Ecological waste collection is scheduled every day of the week, according to waste type. Here is the schedule:
Monday Collection of organic material, plastic and metal. Be careful of two different bags!!
Tuesday Paper and cardboard collection.
Wednesday Collection of organic material.
Thursday Plastic and metal collection. And glass collection.
Friday Unsorted waste collection, any type of waste can be disposed of.
